Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church
Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Town of Eau Pleine (rural Stratford), Wisconsin was organized in 1899, in the logging community of March (later known as March Rapids). This community is no longer an organized village, but the congregation has continued.
For 97 years Emmanuel shared its pastor with St. Peter Lutheran Church of McMillan Township, at the intersection of Elm St. and Galvin Ave. on the north side of Marshfield. In 1996 Emmanuel decided to call its own pastor. In January 1997 the Reverend Kenneth Rahn was installed as Emmanuel's first full-time resident pastor. Since then we have been served by Pastor Joel Stuebs, Pastor Thomas Haar, Pastor Robert Romberg, and Pastor Philip Wilde.
Emmanuel is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).
